Arth, by those who knew him best

From his Mum

Arthur filled our lives with noise, energy, imagination, and laughter from the very beginning. He was adventurous, mischievous, and fearless — climbing, exploring, and always asking wonderfully random questions. Cornwall was his happy place: beaches, campsites, and total freedom. Even through long hospital stays, his curiosity, humour, and spirit never left him.

From his Dad

Arthur was kind, funny, cheeky, and full of warmth. He loved rugby — playing for Gordano Sharks and supporting Bristol Bears and England Rugby — as well as football and Newcastle United. Lego became his calm and creative escape during treatment, and his love of pink and Lego lives on in the Walk4Arth logo. He faced leukaemia with quiet courage, never complaining, always living fully.

From his Sister

Being Arthur’s sister was the greatest gift. He was unapologetically himself, endlessly imaginative, and my built-in best friend. We never stopped playing. Even at the hardest times, he showed extraordinary bravery and positivity. His message to me — “say yes to everything” — is at the heart of Walk4Arth.

Walk4Arth

This walk honours Arthur’s life — starting at Ashton Gate and finishing at Mawgan Porth Beach, two places he loved. It’s about remembering his joy, sharing his spirit, and raising support for families facing childhood cancer.
