Arth's Sister
Being Arthur’s sister was the greatest gift I was ever given. Although he was the younger one, he taught me far more than I ever taught him. Arthur was always completely himself — unapologetically authentic — and he had a way of making people laugh and smile when they least expected it.
Arthur adored his friends and family, and if he loved you, you knew it. He was a talker — especially when he was excited. We could play our made up games in our made up lands for hours growing up, his imagination seemed endless. We never stopped playing together — not once. Arthur was my shadow, my built-in best friend, and the person who understood me in a way only siblings can.
Arthur never complained. Even through long hospital stays, he showed a quiet, extraordinary bravery and positivity. Just before he died, Arthur told me to “say yes to everything.” That message sits at the centre of Walk4Arth: to be positive, to live fully, and to turn love into action.
I will miss my brother forever, but whenever I think of him, I will smile.
