Arth's Mum
Arthur filled our lives with noise, energy, imagination, and laughter from the very beginning.
Holidays in Cornwall feature heavily — digging holes on the beach, running wild around campsites, and once convincing older boys to come back to our tent because he claimed to own a “real sword” (they were understandably unimpressed when it turned out to be plastic!).
Arthur was adventurous, mischievous, and completely fearless — climbing, jumping, exploring, and usually returning late.
Arthur talked almost before he could walk and rarely stopped. He learned to solve a Rubik’s cube, dyed his hair pink, cartwheeled on football pitches, built endlessly with loom bands, and always wanted to know if I’d updated my iPhone. He loved rugby, Lego, plain couscous, and asking wonderfully random questions — including my favourite type of erosion.
Through everything, Arthur lived with curiosity, humour, and heart. Even during long hospital stays, that spirit never left him.
Walk4Arth finishes at Mawgan Porth Beach in Cornwall, one of Arthur’s favourite places and the setting for so many of these memories. Cornwall was where Arthur felt happiest and most free, and ending the walk there is our way of remembering him and celebrating his life.
